Memorial
by TOTH inthe memorial is back and i know i am going to be harassed into taking my father in law to it.
i refused last year and i have every intention of not going this year too.
it is just so frustrating to me that he has a pioneer for a supposed wife who can take all the other sisters to doctor appointments and shopping and gets high praise for this by the congregation even as she neglects her sick husband.

It is HER responsibility ! You should not feel shamed into doing it at all . Let another Witness come and drive him it is their little party not yours .

You are a great Mom ,we learn right along with our kids sometimes .
So happy for your son ! What a great experience for him ,and in no time he will be so happy he made the right decision . Just think how this will help him the next time he needs to make a big decision ,it is all building blocks isn't it ? He just made a huge step into manhood .
Mom's rock !
I have three son's and they still call to discuss major life choices with me . I am more of a sounding board than anything just trying to support what ever they are attempting to do . The hardest time of my parental life was hearing one of my sons struggling from thousands of miles away ....worried and scared he had made a major move mistake ....all I could do is remind him, that is what life is about ,taking chances and going for it ! Thankfully he gave his choice time and it has worked out just fine .

The elders want to see me also
by MsGrowingGirl20 ini mentioned a few times, that in terms of making my time for the past few months have been really difficult.simply because i cant teach something i don't fully believe...so my service has gone down,i used to comment a lot--haven't done that in a while----meeting attendance like normal but now i don't stay back after...or come early...or help with cleaning..... .
so some weeks ago the cobo asked me a completely irrelevant and in no way helpful question---"you did't think that i notice how upset you look these days----that's not a fruitage of god's spirit!".
yeah so today he saw me and asked me a series of question....all which i gave really short answers to...long story short--he says that he would like for me to meet wih the rest of the elders after memorial........ .

Tell them your periods have been really horrible the past few months !!!!! Give them lots of gory details .... such as how you have been having horrendous cramps ,heavy flow ,bloating ,PMS......ask them , 'How would you like to go door to door not knowing if you need a fresh pair of panties by the next stop ?' .......
This should make them leave you alone for awhile ...hope I helped

There actually was a CO here in the US that I remember giving council that it was a GOOD thing for Fathers to expect a Bride price from suitors . This would have been back in the 1980's . If you have a cd rom for those years research Bride Price _I think there were a few articles back then about it . He was trying to make it sound like Fathers had all the clout and young men should be able to afford a wife before dating .... in other words discouraging teen weddings ( Back then we had so many teens getting married at 17-18 )
